Holiday on the Quad
The Corps of Cadets hosted their 5th Annual “Holiday on the Quad” Sunday night and it was a rousing success! Hundreds from Texas A&M and the Bryan-College Station area came out to celebrate with the cadets and enjoy the festivities, games and treats. The Quad was awash in all types of holiday decorations and music, and a great time was had by all who attended. The event raised money for the March of Dimes in an early start to the March to the Brazos fundraising efforts. It was a great evening of fun, fellowship, and celebration before the end of the semester! A job well done by all the cadets involved in the coordination for “Holiday on the Quad.” What a wonderful way to end the semester and begin the holiday season! Happy Holidays to all! Bryan-College Station Christmas Parade
On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, the Corps of Cadets once again participated in the traditional Bryan-College Station Christmas Parade. Always a crowd pleaser, the Aggie Band, Reveille, the Ross Volunteers and Parsons Mounted Cavalry kicked off the parade. The crowd of on-lookers watched and cheered as our cadets marched proudly down Texas Avenue, just as they have for many decades. I am very proud of our cadets who once again showed their community spirit by participating in the annual B/CS Christmas Parade. Just another example of our cadets representing our Corps and our University in a very positive manner! Well done by all! To read more about the Christmas Parade visit here.

Cadet Exchange Program
This semester, the Corps of Cadets hosted officers from Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg, Germany and the Australian Defence Force in Canberra, Australia as part of our Reciprocal Exchange Program with Germany and Australia. These students maintain their admission at their home universities while on an educational exchange program with Texas A&M. This year, the Corps of Cadets sent one cadet to Germany and will send two additional students in the spring semester. Three cadets will attend the reciprocal exchange in Australia in the spring.
This semester we were thankful to have hosted Fredrich Carson (A-2), Felix Nau (SQ 11) and Steffen Rehker (SQ 21) from Germany and Christopher Hageman (G-2) and Monte Radburn (N-1) from Australia. They all attended Texas A&M as members of the Corps of Cadets this fall. These fine young officers developed life-long friendships with our cadets and provided valuable insights to the cultural understanding of their host countries to our Cadets. Late last week, we held a reception to bid farewell to them as they prepare to return home with what we hope are many very good memories of Aggieland and the Corps of Cadets. I wish them the very best of luck on their return home, and hope that they had as rewarding an experience at Aggieland as I know our cadets who got to know them did.

Corbin is the Commanding Officer of Company A-1 and an economics major from Dallas, Texas, and is currently on a Fuller Scholarship. He has previously served as a Squad Leader and Chaplain for Company A-1. In his opinion, Corbin believes his roles as C.O. and Chaplain have developed his character the most and molded him to exude selfless service.

Former Student Profile: President George H.W. Bush
President George H.W. Bush was inducted into the Corps of Cadets Hall of Honor in 2012 for his dedication to the Corps and to Texas A&M. President Bush selected College Station to be the location of both The Bush School of Government and Public Service and the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum, which opened in 1995 and 1997, respectively. Since that time, President Bush has taken an active role at Texas A&M University, the Aggie community and the Corps of Cadets. We remember his service and dedication this week, not only to our university, but our state and nation. Rest in Peace, Mr. President. #honoring41
