INFORMATION & UPDATES

Late Night Miami is doing a call for spring programs:
With fall in full swing, Miami Activities and Programming (MAP) is beginning to plan their spring Late Night Miami calendar. Over the last year, the program has seen the bulk of its success due to the partnerships we have made and the departments that sponsor events throughout the year. Now let us know what you would like to plan for the Spring 2017 semester!

Same rules apply...
1. You let us know what event you would like to host
2. We give you up to $2000 to make that event come to life
APPLY FOR SCHOLAR LEADERS
Do you know students who want to be part of a community next year that provides leadership and scholarship opportunities? Do they want to be surrounded by a diverse group of people who are working toward their passions, living right in the center of campus? If so, encourage them to apply for Scholar Leaders!
Scholar Leaders is a selective leadership LLC that allows students the opportunity to interact with other leaders on campus through various events. For more information come to our information sessions:
November 9th and 10th at 6:00pm or 7:00pm in Harrison 204
There will be a tour of Stelliott following each session! Like us on Facebook or follow us on Instagram @MUSCHOLOS for more information about current members of our community! If they have any further questions, they contact us at scholarleaders@maimioh.edu or check out the Miami University Scholar Leader Website found here.

Miami Holiday Project

The Miami Holiday Project is a local service project that accepts donations for holiday gifts for children in foster care in Butler and Preble counties. All of the children are under county court supervision, many due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment. How can you get involved? You can donate money, shop (on December 10 at the Hamilton Meijer) to buy the gifts, or wrap gifts. More information is available on the Miami Holiday Project website.
SAHE Program Applications Due

Student Affairs in Higher Education (SAHE) M.S. and Ph.D. program applications are due December 1, 2016. More information about the application process can be found on the website at www.miamioh.edu/sahe . Also feel free to contact us at sahe@miamioh.edu if you'd like to arrange to chat with a current SAHE student about their experience, meet with a SAHE faculty member to learn more about our program, or sit in on a SAHE class!

Tech Tip of the Week

From Jen O'Brien
TIP: Print PowerPoints AND Notes slides two or three to a page.
WHY: You have a presentation and need your notes. But you don't need a whole page for every slide (which PowerPoint prefers with notes pages). And you like to save paper.
HOW?
1. In PowerPoint, go to File: Export (may also be called "Save and Send" in your version). Then select "Create Handlouts" click the box that says Create Handouts (on the right side of the screen).
2. A window will pop up asking if you'd like to send to Microsoft Word. Select the top option (notes next to slides) and click OK.
3. Your slides will open up in Microsoft Word. If there are notes, they'll appear to the right of the slides. Edit in Word, or just print and be done!
