What We Have Accomplished for Oregon's Great Outdoors
|
Dear Friend,
As the year draws to a close, please take a look at what Oregon Parks Forever has accomplished, and what we have planned for next year. By improving parks and creating innovative programs, park visitors, especially children, will have more meaningful experiences, leading to lifelong connections to the natural world.

Making places more accessible for more people
One of our most successful partnerships is with David's Chair to provide electric all terrain track chairs to get out on the beach and into nature for people with mobility challenges. We set a goal of 10 locations along the Oregon Coast where visitors can pick-up and use an electric all-terrain Track Chair at no charge. Next year we plan to place more chairs along the I-5 corridor. Help us achieve this goal. Learn more.

Help land recover from fires and improve parks
From Tillamook Forest to Collier State Park, and many other parks and trails in between, we funded the replanting of 804,000 trees in places devastated by wildfires. Please help us replant a MILLION trees to ensure that in the future, these burned areas will once again be lush and green!
In conjunction with the wildfire fund, we held the inaugural work session of We Care For Parks last fall. In the pouring rain, over 50 volunteers helped build trails, move gravel, and pick up trash to beautify and restore Minto Park. We plan another volunteer event this spring.

Please take a moment to consider a gift of any amount to help us raise these funds. By improving parks and creating innovative programs, we all will have more enjoyable and meaningful experiences.
