What A Week!
Well, that was crazy! We had big hopes for an exciting start to 2025 but this past week's lack of power and especially water was NOT what we were expecting! Hopefully, as we head into a new week and new year, all of that is in the rear view mirror. We know it was a VERY stressful week for many of our families and faculty but, as always, DRAGONS persevere and rise!
Thank you, thank you for our understanding, grace, and support as we navigated these uncharted waters. We are excited to see our Dragons on Monday! Welcome back!

Important: '25-'26 Re-Enrollment Contracts
Online re-enrollment contracts for current students for the 2025-26 school year will be emailed to families on JANUARY 27, and are due back by NOON on FEBRUARY 6.
Please mark your calendars. Similar to last year, re-enrollment will take place digitally through PowerSchool. Details to follow soon!

Looking Ahead: Friendly Reminder
A friendly reminder that on Monday, January 20, St. Michael's is CLOSED for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Federal Holiday is a National Day of Service, inspiring us to renew our commitment to serving one another and strengthening our communities. Across the nation, Americans will honor Dr. King’s legacy through acts of kindness, community service, and civic engagement. We invite our families to do the same.

Dragon Dialogues
Join us on January 16, 8:15 - 9:20 a.m., Perkinson Arts Center, as we discuss Constructive and Inclusive Dialogue.
For this Dragon Dialogue, a facilitator from the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities will introduce tools that support effective communication on challenging topics. This interactive session includes discussion on frameworks geared toward building self-awareness, increasing clarity in discussions around children's education, and exploring motivators for positive connections.

2025 Summer Camp Registration Launch: Jan. 29
While it may be winter, we’ve got SUMMER on our minds! Exciting plans are well underway for our 2025 St M Summer Spectacular Camps.
Mark Your Calendars! 2025 Camp Registration launches on JANUARY 29 exclusively for St M families! The public launch is January 31.
SEVEN weekly camp sessions will be offered from June 16-August 8 for ages 4-14. St M had record-breaking, sold-out attendance at our camp programs last summer.
We will be releasing the camp catalog shortly. Please INVITE YOUR FRIENDS, CO-WORKERS, & NEIGHBORS to participate!

Friendly Reminders- Families, please put children's names in their coats and sweatshirts so if lost, we can return them.
- With the weather this cold, we want to ensure children are warm as they will be going outside daily. Please insist that your children wear pants (and not shorts) to school in the winter.

| Illness Reporting Protocol/Form
For the health and safety of all of our students, faculty, and staff, thank you for informing St. Michael’s if your child is ill and/or has a suspected contagious illness.
Upon receipt of this information, Nurse Maben, St M's school nurse, will contact the family. Please keep your child(ren) AT HOME until contacted by Nurse Maben.
