On April 12, 2023, Fort Lauderdale experienced a once-in-a-thousand-years flooding event, which caused significant damage to homes and the lives of those who live there, including artists in our theatre community.
In a desire to help those in need, the South Florida Theatre League is asking for donations to the South Florida Theatre League Relief Fund. The fund was established in 2020 to help theatre artists survive the shutdown during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic and raised over $25,000 in funds for local artists to help buy groceries or pay bills.
While the needs have changed, we are asking our community to help again. Please consider a donation to the South Florida Theatre League Relief Fund to help victims of the flooding.
You can donate by clicking on the button below and selecting the Relief Fund as the designated fund.
If you were impacted by the flooding and seek assistance from the League, please reach out to Andie Arthur at firstname.lastname@example.org.
