ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT
Congrats Pamplin Alumni - Asia Wisecarver
I chose the UP Pamplin School of Business because I went to an info session (randomly) for the MBA in Non Profit program and I knew instantly it was the program that was right for me and my interest. It intersected well with my current experience and I felt would set me up for my future career posibilities. I applied to the program the same week because I was so excited. After having completed the program I have had many moments/reminders in my work that  point out to me the value of the program and its relevant content, networking, foundational frameworks and preparation/skill development for the work that I am currently doing and I believe will serve as a solid foundation for any future career moves.
I am currently the Associate Director for Playworks PacNW. I started here in July 2015 as the Program Director and was promoted to AD in July 2017. I'm excited about Playworks and the work we do.  We believe in the power of play to bring out the best in every kid! Our local aim guiding this effort is to help ensure that 250,000 kids in 500 schools receive access to safe and healthy play every day by December 31st 2017. This aim is tied directly to our National aim of 3.5 million kids in 7000 schools.
We partner with schools to provide a variety of services where we input one of our service models, a caring consistent adult, and qualtity school partnerships to help meet school's recess needs. These inputs help to create a high functioning recess, a great recess climate, and ultimately result in an overall positive school climate. We leverage our curriculum based youth leadership development programs, quality facilitation, conflict resolution and group management strategies to help create a safe, healthy, inviting and inclusive recess environment. I would love to have anyone interested in learning more contact me to come see us in action at a site visit.
