Foods RevueThe annual foods revue was hosted on Tuesday, June 24th at the Fond du Lac County Campus, where 18 youth created dishes with the special ingredient- blueberries! Youth made all sorts of goodies from Berry Fruit Salsa, Cheesecake, Blueberry Lemon Sweet Rolls, Homemade Blueberry Marshmallows, and even Chicken Satay with Blueberry Ginger Sauce. Each participant had a set table with recipe cards and centerpieces.
There was also the Plant ID Contest that featured Nuts, Berries, Fruits, and Vegetables for youth to try and identify. A special shout out to Maya Wiltzuis, the 2025 Fond du Lac County Fairest of the Fair, for joining us and adding a touch of sparkle to the evening. The night ended with a taste test of each item where families and friends sampled bite-sized creations.
Best of class award winners were Charles R. for Cloverbuds, Bryce H. for grades 3-5, Jackie F. for Grades 6-8, and Julia T. for grades 9-13. Bryce H. received Best of Show Overall, Julia T. received Best of Class for photography, and Julia T. received Best of Class for centerpiece entries. Congratulations to all the participants!
