Join Us for SMBA Championship Fun!

Come out and CHEER at the SMBA championship this Thursday, February 6, at 6:30 p.m. in the gym.  As a time-honored tradition, we hope ALL our K-8 Dragons will come and support the teams!
NEW THIS YEAR: Show your school spirit by wearing BLUE or WHITE to the game with pride!
The best part of our unique SMBA basketball program is COMMUNITY! Our teams are co-ed and foster cross-grade relationships (as the teams include Lower School and Middle School players). St. Michael's alumni eagerly come back each year and coach. Our students and families cheer the players on and celebrate the hard work, sportsmanship, and efforts of all of the teams.
This night of family fun and great basketball begins at 5:45 p.m. with an SMPA-sponsored s'mores roast in the gym parking lot before the game (weather permitting). For the safety of our students, parents should accompany their children to roast s'mores.
The game begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.  Go Dragons!

Early Dismissal on Wednesday

A reminder that this Wednesday, February 5, is a NOON DISMISSAL day for faculty professional development.

'20-'21 Re-Enrollment Contracts

Online re-enrollment contracts for current students for the 2020-21 school year will be emailed to families on February 3 and are due back by February 13 at noon. Please mark your calendars. Similar to last year, re-enrollment will take place digitally through PowerSchool.
A separate email letter was sent on January 28 outlining tuition information for the coming school year.

ONE.TOGETHER. Capital Campaign

We are off and running!  The Campaign Committee met for the second time in January. Bob Gregg and Mike Jackson, director of finance, also attended the meeting to provide program information and answer questions pertaining to the campaign. Committee members are beginning to reach out to the School community for campaign support. Please contact a committee member or Mary King Coleman if you would like information pertaining to gift options.

Campaign funding received a $50,000 boost from the Scott Foundation!  It is an exciting time at St. Michael's!

K-8 Service  Outreach Project Begins This Week

Robin Telfian, a St. Michael’s parent, oversees a non-profit called Shood that is “dedicated to providing new and gently used athletic shoes to homeless individuals and those who are living in poverty in Richmond.” Since its founding, Shood has fit 4,000 individuals with proper footwear. As part of a school-wide service outreach initiative, St. Michael’s is partnering with Shood to collect gently-used shoes and personal care items from February 3-25.
Our students will then assemble foot care bags for Shood.
Each grade will collect a different item.
