Time-Sensitive Obesity Policy and Program Evaluation (R01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)
This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) establishes an accelerated review/award process to support time-sensitive research to evaluate a new policy or program that is likely to influence obesity related behaviors (e.g., dietary intake, physical activity, sedentary behavior, and/or sleep) and/or weight outcomes in an effort to prevent or reduce obesity.
Institute specific interests are as follows:

NIDDK: The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases is particularly interested in the evaluation of large-scale weight-related programs or policy that is targeted to obesity and/or diabetes prevention.

NICHD: The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development is interested in applications that propose to evaluate the impact of weight-related policies or programs on children, families, pregnant women, or children with disabilities.

NCI: The National Cancer Institute is particularly interested in the evaluation of programs or policies that may affect dietary or physical activity behavior and/or weight, and studies incorporating economic research.

NIDDK Workshop: The Application of Digital Health Technology to the Management of Type 2 Diabetes
This workshop explores the application of currently available digital health technology to the management of type 2 diabetes, including continuous glucose monitoring, activity and sleep monitoring, mHealth applications and telemedicine. Both benefits and current barriers to the application of digital health to diabetes management will be fully explored.
This is a hybrid workshop. Virtual participation is available. For those attending via webinar, the link will be distributed via email prior to the date of the event.
