What do you get when you combine science and milk?
Fun and exciting experiments with Wisconsin’s favorite dairy product!
Join Dodge County 4-H Family Learning Fun 2021 for a Night of Kitchen Science Savvy! WHEN: Tuesday, February 23, at 6:00pm WHERE: via Zoom
Your hosts for these fun and exciting experiments will be Tom Zinnen – Biotechnology Education Specialist and Liz Jesse – BioTrek Science Outreach Specialist and UWBC Communications.
- “What Makes Better Bubbles: The Bubble-logy of Skim vs. Whole Milk” What does a “better bubble” mean to you? Can you design a fair experiment to determine how milkfat affects milk bubblicity?
- “Milk Fireworks: Is Milkfat Really Needed?” When we look at milk, we see an opaque, white liquid. We can’t see that milk is actually a colloid made up of many solids suspended in a liquid. What are the solids in milk and how do we test they are there? Join us and come be a ‘Scientest’ as we use our Kitchen Science Savvy to experiment with milk fireworks and explore some of milk’s inner workings.
