Planets for Mr. Morito
Long ago, Japanese entrepreneur Yuko Morito changed Josh's life.
Mr. Morito loved the sphere form and was an avid collector of Simpson Planets. He invited Josh to attend the opening of his new corporate headquarters in Japan and commissioned him to bring the largest planet he could make.
Upon arriving, Josh belatedly realized that his Planet was to be measured in a contest against another glass artist, Steven Lundberg. Neither Josh nor Steve had been aware there was a contest, but, as it turned out, both had made spheres exactly 8” in diameter. So, with great excitement, fanfare, and television cameras running… they officially tied!
