On Wednesday, November 13, 2024 the Department of Campus Safety received a report of a fondling that occurred at approximately 10:25 a.m., on the third floor of the Dental Center (345 East 24th Street) in Manhattan.
A patient gave an NYU student an envelope with money in it. The envelope was returned to the patient by the victim, an NYU employee. At that time, the patient touched the buttocks of the employee. There was no further interaction reported.
No physical injuries were reported. The employee was offered support services. Campus Safety is assisting the employee with reporting to NYPD.
Description of Suspect: The suspect was described as male-presenting with a dark complexion and short, black hair. They are 40 years old, 5'8" and 180 pounds. They were wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. A photo is provided below.
