When did you find your calling? Our word vocation originally meant calling. But it has been watered down to simply mean a job.
Jeremiah received a word from the Lord that he had been appointed as a prophet prenatally. Hearing God's clarion call, he tried to change God's mind. He explained to his Sovereign Lord that he was way too young. His Sovereign Lord rejected his excuse.
I was on a retreat as a middle school student in Europe. The leaders set aside a room for prayer in the morning. As I prayed I realized God was calling me to preach. That night I walked forward in the service and told the preacher. My pastor found out and put me in the pulpit later that year. He told me, "God has called. Now is the time to preach."
God equips us to do what he calls us to do. We are not too young, old, or weak. What is your calling? What are you waiting for?
