Twenty-Second Amendment to the
RVRMA Design Guidelines |
|
|
At the April Board Meeting the RVRMA Board of Directors voted to unanimously approve the Twenty-Second Amendment to the Design Guidelines.
The RVR Design Review Committee at the direction of the RVRMA Executive Board has
established the Twenty-Second Amendment to prioritize fire safety and water conservation, while also removing design restrictions put in place by the original developer. The changes included in the document reflect the Board’s goal to support homeowners in enhancing their properties while preserving the architectural character and visual harmony that define River Valley Ranch.
We would like to thank everyone who provided feedback on the amendment, including architects, builders, and homeowners who generously shared their insights.

The deer fencing removal deadline has been extended to Thursday, May 15. You may remove fencing at any time but must have it down and properly stored by the deadline.

|
A kind reminder to RVR residents who are storing their deer fencing for the summer season: please make sure it’s stored out of sight from the street and from your neighbors. Whether that means storing the fencing in your basement, attic, crawl space, or offsite away from RVR, please find a place for the deer fencing that has no visual impact on the RVR community.

RVR4GOOD- April 29 Meeting Recap |
|
|
RVR4Good hosted a community event on Tuesday evening, April 29, featuring presentations from three local nonprofits: Carbondale Education Foundation, Great Expectations, and The Crystal Theatre. Around 20 residents attended the complimentary gathering, which included wine service and a Q&A session. The intimate, theater-style event provided a platform for the organizations to share their missions, current needs, and fundraising goals.

RVR4GOOD seeks volunteer groups to provide a simple meal once a month to Stepping Stones. |
Stepping Stones is a Carbondale non-profit that cultivates strong mentoring relationships and safe community spaces for middle and high school students. The program is after school and dinner 5 days a week. The trained staff fosters students in developing a sense of responsibility, personal growth and feelings of compassion. Mentoring is the center of the program and offers wraparound services to meet the youth and families needs. All services are free. The staff works closely with students in Basalt, Carbondale and Glenwood Springs.
RVR4GOOD has committed to delivering dinner to 35 middle school students and on-duty staff the first Monday of each month. These last 3 months we have had church friends, the Naughty Knitters and a RVR Book Group volunteer to supply dinner. Everyone has said that it is a very rewarding experience. This is a great project for individuals, friends, golfing buddies, hiking groups, book groups, neighbors. We are looking for a group to provide the dinner for Monday, June 2, and then volunteer groups to cover each month moving forward through the end of 2025. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Sally Faison at faison@comcast.net.
If you are interested in connecting with RVR4Good, please visit their website here.
Next RVR4Good Meeting will be held Tuesday, May 27 from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. at The Ranch House.

Important Irrigation Reminder |
As a kind reminder, the RVRMA resident irrigation window is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the golf course having priority during the evening hours. The infrastructure which powers our system lacks the capacity to irrigate both the golf course and the community simultaneously. Recently, pumps in the community became inoperable due to excessive demand for water during the evening hours.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us maintain a reliable irrigation system for everyone!
