Project Clean and Green Update

The annual Clean and Green Program which is usually of great help to the community has been cancelled for 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Additionally D.P.W. Sanitation is not doing special pick-ups when called due to furloughs.
The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works has two drop off centers in the City of Milwaukee. As of March 24, 2020 all Drop Off Center fees have been waived.

 Student Emergency Grants

Consider donating to students affected financially by the coronavirus pandemic through UWM's Student Emergency Grant fund via the UWM Foundation. Students can use this fund for academic expenses, child care, food and housing. Go online, click "Give Now" and select where you want to give.
The UWM Food Pantry has a COVID-19 Amazon wishlist for high-need items. You can order online and have things delivered to the Food Pantry directly. You can also donate to the Food Pantry through the UWM Foundation.

Campus Building Updates

Student Union Renovation
The pre-design phase of the Union renovation is complete. The next steps include approximately one year of design, followed by bidding and construction. Construction is set to begin in July 2021 with completion slated for April 2023.

 Complete Your 2020 Census

Get counted as part of the 2020 U.S. Census! Anyone residing in Milwaukee on April 1 should be counted in Milwaukee, whether they are a year-round resident, college student or international community member (regardless of citizenship status).
