StrongBodies- Little Suamico!Â
Staying strong and active as we age can make a big difference in maintaining independence and enjoying the activities we love. This StrongBodies session is a 10-week strength training program designed for mid-life and older adults that combines progressive resistance training, balance, and flexibility exercises.
Strength training can help maintain and build muscle, support bone health, improve strength for everyday activities, and make it easier to stay independent. Balance exercises can improve stability and confidence with movement and help reduce the risk of falls. Just as importantly, StrongBodies provides an opportunity to exercise with others, build connections, and make physical activity a regular part of your routine.
Classes meet twice a week and are led by a trained facilitator. Come get stronger, improve your balance, stay active, and connect with others in your community!

How Is Financial Education Tied to Financial Health? |
|
|
|
A 2026 research study sought to learn if taking a financial education class in high school, college, or through work was connected to better financial health. More specifically, the researchers tested if, and how, financial education helps by teaching people factual information, by increasing a person's confidence in managing money, or both.
The researchers measured financial health based on 4 habits (spending within means, saving, managing debt, and planning ahead) by comparing people who took a financial education class versus those who did not.
The research results show that people who took financial education classes scored higher in financial health than those who did not primarily because the financial education boosted their confidence in feeling they were able to make good money decisions. While increasing factual knowledge helps, the study suggests that to improve people's financial health, financial education must help students practice real-life decisions and build personal confidence.
