As 2024 draws to a close, we would like to wish you and your families a safe and restful winter break. We hope this year has treated you well, and look forward to an even more vibrant and purposeful 2025.

Best Virtual Game Show Ever! Holiday Edition

Join us for the holiday edition of our trivia game show with host Rob Ferre. Play to win prizes and bragging rights with your friends and colleagues at Stanford.

What else? The event is open to all Stanford staff

Refrigerator Cleaning

Please remove any items from the refrigerator before Friday, December 20. They will be deep cleaned during the winter break and all items will be removed and thrown away.

Barron Garage Closure 

Barron Garage will be closed for maintenance and repairs between December 21 and January 5. Please use the parking lots on Bay Road and Broadway if you are on campus during this time. 

Automated Shades

Please do not attach clips, post-its or other items to the shades in your area or leave plants on the window sill. If you notice anything, please remove them for smooth functioning of the shades.

Mail and Packages

Mail room operations will continue during winter closure except on university holidays.  If you have questions about a package submit a service request. 

Barron Garage 5-year maintenance and cleaning will start late December 2024 and extend into late January 2025. 

Buildings will remain accessible for anyone commuting to campus during the break. 

Custodial services will continue throughout the closure with a focus on detailed cleaning. 

The Recreation and Wellness Center pool will be undergoing 5-year service maintenance and will remain offline through January 13, 2025.

Paver cleaning will continue during winter closure. 

Landscaping projects will continue until the end of December: 

We invite you to join us in supporting neighborhood families at Taft Community School in Redwood City during the holiday season. You can spread holiday magic by purchasing items from their wish list.

Each wish list is personalized; you will also see general items, such as warm blankets and small amount gift cards are provided to families throughout the year.

We ask that all new, labeled (Family # and child’s name), unwrapped gifts get delivered or dropped off by noon on Friday, December 13 to:

Public safety agencies in San Mateo County, including the Fire and Police Departments of Redwood City, have joined forces to spread joy and holiday cheer to local children through the Annual Holiday Toy and Book Drive.
