From the Dean

This year’s Give Day marked milestones for the university and college. Some 4,280 donors raised $2,132,413 – the largest number of participants and Give Day dollar amount to date! College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences alumni contributed $732,290 to that record total. Over $100,000 was raised for the CECAS Dean’s Excellence Fund to help support the college’s top priorities.
I am very proud of this last statistic. We had a highly successful Dean’s Summit in late March. (Photos from the event are available here). Fifty donors were on campus engaging with students and faculty in the college. The Dean’s Excellence Fund is helping us develop the engineers of tomorrow, and some of these future engineers are highlighted in this edition of the newsletter.
I’d also like to call your attention to the feature about our newest members of the Thomas Green Clemson Academy of Engineers and Scientists and our Outstanding Young Alumni. Their inspiring stories can be found here.
With gratitude,
Anand Gramopadhye, Dean
