Please join the CSUB Department of Nursing for a milestone ribbon cutting event at the end of this month — Celebrating the commencement of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree Program and the new Varanasi Simulation Center.
The ceremony, taking place directly in front of the Romberg Nursing Education Center, will commence the opening of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program and welcoming the first cohort of students starting this Fall semester. The DNP Program is the second doctoral program in the CSUB's 55-year history.
The Graduate Program Simulation Lab, made possible by the late Dr. Uma Varanasi, is located on the fourth floor of the Science I building.
Dr. Varanasi gifted $1 million to support the Family Nurse Practitioner Program in 2021. The Varanasi Simulation Lab allows students to utilize medical equipment and exam rooms, expanding student's abilities to work with patients and practice their critical clinical skills. We commemorate the lab in his honor.
