Return 2 Play Guidelines
Special Olympics Oklahoma is excited to announce the kickoff of Return 2 Play (R2P) for Teams beginning July 20, 2020!
During the week of July 13, Special Olympics Oklahoma staff conducted several Zoom meetings for Phase 1 of Return 2 Play for coaches across the state. These trainings are mandatory for all Teams wishing to participate.
Phase 1 allows teams to gather for practice and training sessions with no more than 10 participants at a time. Teams must adhere to strict physical distancing and sanitation protocols. No direct or indirect contact (e.g. through a ball in the hand) will take place. Virtual programming will be made available for high-risk athletes that are not able to attend in person.
- If your Team was unable to have a coach attend one of the in-person Zoom meetings, you must still designate a coach on your Team to watch the video of the Zoom meeting and submit the test at the end of the training.
- There are restrictions and paperwork requirements for Phase 1 - R2P that must be in place before a Team can participate. This mandatory training is essential information that a Team must have before beginning R2P.
- There is a COVID Code of Conduct form that must be completed & submitted by EVERYONE who will participate in R2P before getting together for training/practice/activities.
- The mandatory Phase 1 - R2P training is available online here.
We encourage everyone to continue to use the resources for virtual wellness opportunities on our website and social media channels.
