Thank you to everyone who attended our 2024 NAM President's Reception. Nearly 70 physicians, residents, and medical students gathered to celebrate and install Dr. Carl Willis as our 2024 president. Notable guests included former presidents of NAM, members of the NAM and MFN Boards of Directors, and representatives from the TMA Board of Trustees and executive committee.
A few accomplishments from 2023 highlighted during the President's Reception include:
- Membership growth has been excellent! NAM welcomed 349 new members into our association including practicing physicians, residents, and medical students.
- In 2023, NAM maintained nearly 2,300 members! We have continued to set membership growth records in the past five years.
- In April, NAM had the largest representation of any medical society in Tennessee at the 2023 TMA House of Delegates. Thank you to all of our members for supporting organized medicine in a unified way!
- NAM hosted and partnered to promote over 20 events and meetings for our members in 2023.

| Pizza and Politics 2024 Recap | |
Thank you to all the students and residents who attended Pizza and Politics earlier this month. We appreciate Senator Heidi Campbell, Representative John Ray Clemmons, and Representative Vincent Dixie for spending time with some of our resident and student members to help them understand the legislative process and how they can get engaged both now and in their careers as physicians.
We are thrilled to share a snapshot of some of our student leaders from the 2024 Caduceus Council (NAM's student and resident leadership group) alongside Rep. Clemmons and Rep. Dixie (Left Photo). Pizza and Politics has been a tradition for eight successful years! In honor of this milestone, we're taking a trip down memory lane with a photo from our inaugural event featuring Representative Sabi “Doc” Kumar from 2017 (Right Photo).
