CRL Explores Problems
with E-government Records

A CRL-sponsored panel at the ARL fall membership meeting on October 8 continued exploration of challenges to the accessibility and integrity of born-digital government records initiated at Leviathan, CRL’s April 2014 Collections Forum. Speakers called for libraries to advocate for greater accountability and transparency in federal records management. An account of the ARL panel is summarized in Inside Higher Ed; a strategic framework for future CRL efforts in this important arena can be found in CRL’s FOCUS on Global Resources.
