Thank you for making our first alumni-centric homecoming experience unforgettable! It was great to see the many alums who made it back to The Hill, reconnecting with one another, celebrating varsity athletics, laughing with the Burpee’s Seedy Theatrical Company, and so much more. We invite you to take a look at our digital photo album and read a recap showcasing highlights from the weekend’s festivities.
Mark your calendar for the next Big Red Weekend, Oct. 10 - 12, 2025.

Sen. Richard Lugar’s ‘unabiding love for Denison’ now on display
The late Sen. Richard Lugar ʼ54, a Denison trustee, Rhodes Scholar, and six-term senator from Indiana, received several honors for his leadership and bipartisan efforts on issues such as nuclear nonproliferation and global food insecurity. His Presidential Medal of Freedom, presented by President Barack Obama, and regalia marking him a Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, presented by Queen Elizabeth II, are now on display on the fifth floor of Burton D. Morgan in the Admission Welcome Center. Lugar and his family believed that displaying the memorabilia at his alma mater might serve as an inspiration for generations of Denisonians. Host a Denison Everywhere Event
Hosting is simple and rewarding!
Denison Everywhere events can happen, well, everywhere, and alums are seeking more opportunities to connect than ever before.
If you don’t see your city listed on our website, we want to work with you to connect Denisonians — especially if you are abroad or not in a major metro area.
To coordinate an event, please contact Gary Fleisner ʼ13, associate director of regional and lifelong engagement, at fleisnerg@denison.edu.
Hear from a Denison Everywhere volunteer what makes the event so special:
“Moving to a new city, I looked at setting up an inaugural Denison Everywhere event in Kansas City, Mo., as a way to meet fellow Denisonians and build a network. We had a modest group the first year, but attendance has doubled every year since, to the point we need a bigger space! Proof that the name of the event is true: Denison is everywhere!”
— Cale Garverick ʼ13, Kansas City, Mo.
