As Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching, we at GSA could not be more thankful for the graduate student community at Baylor. We loved getting to celebrate with you over the past couple weeks at the Homecoming Parade and the Diversity Gala. We are also thankful for the events we have to look forward to next month--like our GSA at the Farmers Market event and the End-of-Semester Celebration.

DECEMBER 11th - YESSSnacks:
Our biannual tradition is back--"Your End of Semester Survival Snacks" will be located in the GRC beginning Thursday, December 11th and going until Sunday, December 14th. Everything from beverages to granola bars and trail mix to chips and cookies will be out all week long. We hope this helps to fuel you through finals and semester projects.

Celebrating Graduate Student Milestone Reports - We are excited to celebrate along with you!

Geneece Goetzen - PhD in Social Work - Successfully completed and defended dissertation and will graduate in December. "I'm submitting this on behalf of my friend and cohort-member Geneece. She successfully defended her dissertation in September and is set to graduate in December!"

iBEARS Team (Dr. Tracey Sulak, Dr. Marty Harvill, Morgan Castillo, Liesel Lutz, Kailah Hall) - PhD in Educational Psychology - Won the Baylor Center for School Leadership Award for our project iBEARS-BCSL: Expanding science outreach through Christ-Centered leadership development. "We are so excited to receive this award from the Baylor Center for School Leadership for our investigation on Christ-centered leadership development through science learning experiences. Data collection will occur this Spring with Dr. Tracey Sulak as the Principal Investigator, Dr. Marty Harvill as the Undergraduate Program Director, Morgan Castillo as the Project Lead, Liesel Lutz as the Qualitative Lead, and Kailah Hall as the Quantitative Lead. We look forward to sharing results in Summer of 2026!"

Jacquice Jones - Ed.D-LOC - Successfully completed the DOTS Certification Program. "I have recently completed the DOTS Certification Program, and it really inspired me to further develop my online teaching and course design skills. During the DOTS course, I gained valuable insights into designing for learning rather than merely delivering content. I am excited about applying these skills in my professional practice."
