Our friends at Transforming Families are holding their 10th annual Day of the Transgender Child event on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from noon to 4pm at Loring Park in Minneapolis. This annual event brings together the community to celebrate and uplift transgender children. The day will feature family-friendly programming, like art activities, music, performances, and a resource fair.

RECLAIM will be in attendance with our table and tent - come on out and stop by!

RECLAIM is excited to announce a new queer and trans young adult group for ages 18-25 that will be starting October 6, 2026!

Reclaiming Connection is a welcoming, affirming group therapy space for queer and trans young adults to build connection while developing practical skills for healthier, more meaningful relationships. Making friends and finding community can be hard. Social anxiety, self-doubt, low self-esteem, depression, past experiences, or fear of rejection can sometimes get in the way of the connections we want.

Together, we’ll explore and practice:

You’ll have opportunities to practice new skills and learn from shared experiences in a supportive therapeutic space. Our queer and trans communities have historically been a powerful source of resilience and strength. Reclaiming Connection is a space to build a community where you can feel seen, supported, and be authentically yourself!

Cost: Sessions are $50, we accept insurance and offer sliding fee scale because finances should not be a barrier to care!

You are invited to Find Your Pride on Thursday, October 15th for a free day of music and art-making, hands-on workshops, and supportive community. 

Find Your Pride is an all day Summit for LGBTQIA+ youth and allies hosted by ComMUSICation. Youth will have the opportunity to create, express themselves, and perform.

Sessions will include the intersection of identity and voice, self-expression and activism through performance, mixed media, and mental wellness.

RECLAIM will be hosting an Open House on the evening of Wednesday, November 4 at our offices in Saint Paul, starting at 6pm. We welcome anyone interested in RECLAIM, whether looking for mental health services, community connection, volunteer opportunities, professional development, or otherwise!

RECLAIM welcomes Maddy Neill to the team, as our 2026-27 clinical intern. About Maddy:

Maddy is currently an MSW student at Augsburg University, with her degree focusing on anti-oppressive clinical practice. She is the clinical intern at RECLAIM for the 2026-2027 academic year and plans to graduate in the summer! Maddy believes every person is different- their identities, their background, their views on the world; and with that, you are the expert in your story. Therefore, Maddy’s therapeutic style is grounded in the idea that therapy is not a “one size fits all” model. Her approach is to make sessions person-centered, relationship focused, and trauma informed.

Maddy spent her childhood in Germany and Upstate New York. She graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a BA in psychology and sociology. Her previous jobs include working with individuals that have a psychotic spectrum illness (PSI) and with immigrants and refugees that had experienced multiple forms of trauma in their home country.

Maddy identifies as a white fat lesbian woman; in her free time, she reads about Greek mythology, watches documentaries, and is found reading articles and writing forum posts for her various classes!
