We hosted 87 VU Visions Workshops:Over 1,100 first-year students were welcomed by the Wond'ry and attended a VU Visions workshop on Innovation and Design Thinking, called the Marshmallow Tower Challenge. Groups were given spaghetti, string, and tape, and instructed to build the largest tower structure that could hold up their marshmallow. This was a wonderful opportunity to allow all of the first-year students to get a fun and easy introduction to the Wond'ry, and the many resources and programs that they could get involved in.

Patrick Leddin | Oct. 24 | 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM | ESB 048. Click here to register. Harvard Business Review published a study of 17,000 leaders, which found that the average person receives their first formal leadership role at age 30 and their first formal leadership training at 42. Leadership is tough enough, but the 12-year gap exacerbates the problem. Plus, when the training arrives, it's often costly, time-consuming, and ineffective. Patrick and his team are working to close that gap by putting leadership development in the palm of your hand with relevant, engaging, and valuable content. Attend the session to learn what you can do today to become the leader you want to be. In addition, join the 103,000 people who follow and learn from him on LinkedIn at https://www.linkedin.com/in/patrickleddin/

Working at the Wond'ry
Current Full Time Positions:

Sarah Saeed, Program Manager Climate InnovationHi, my name is Sarah, and I have just moved to Nashville from Amsterdam where I spent the last few years, prior to which I was based in London. I grew up in Australia and have family roots in Pakistan. My accent may be a bit undistinguishable as a result!
My background is in Architecture and Community Development, mainly working with marginalized and vulnerable community groups in developing appropriate sustainable solutions in post disaster contexts. I advocate for participatory engagement and human centered design and believe that community is the source of information for of all things realized and unrealized. I value a rich process and thinking about things in-context.I love taking photos, sketching with my kids, eating (good) cake, having a swim in the summer rain and reading books that have pictures.
