A Message from President Laackman:
I am pleased to report that Champlain College has been re-accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges’ (NEASC) Commission on Institutions of Higher Education. This is an important milestone for the College, one that affirms the quality work being done here at Champlain.
While the complete letter is available for your review here, I want to draw your attention to a few themes. First, the Commission commended Champlain for its thorough and candid self-study that documented the institution’s accomplishments over the last decade. It noted that the visiting team observed a “distinct atmosphere of collegiality and determination to accomplish the aspirational goals of Champlain’s strategic plan." They noted “the institution’s focus on integrating strategic priorities into the ‘Champlain Futures Initiative’ further illustrates the College’s commitment to achieving its mission through institutional planning.
