Sharing Lockbox Access is a Citable Offense

We are experiencing an uptick in calls relating to unauthorized access to property for sale and rent. Most of the calls relate to sharing lockbox access.
Allowing another person (Realtor® or not) to borrow a physical electronic key; allowing another person (Realtor® or not) to use your electronic key account via a mobile device; or sharing a code to a mechanical lockbox to another person (Realtor® or not) is a violation of the terms of service set by SUPRA. Doing so may result in SUPRA terminating service and more.
These actions are also a potential violation of the Realtor® Code of Ethics which prohibits allowing access to property on terms other than those established by the seller or the listing agent. Unauthorized access includes failing to accompany a consumer, inspector, appraiser, etc. when expected to do so. Such violations are subject to disciplinary action by an ethics panel and in some cases could be subject to an Ethics Citation. Allowing access to property without authority could also result in legal troubles for both the Realtor® and the person gaining unauthorized access.

Bridge, Trail Extension Projects Coming Together in Royersford

The effort to restore a former railroad bridge into a link between Royersford and the Schuylkill River Trail has received a $428,000 boost from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. The state funding will be used for the development of the trail, including rehabilitation of the Royersford Trestle Bridge, ADA access, landscaping, project signage and other related site improvements. The 1919 bridge is approximately 1,020 feet long and requires extensive repairs. According to Royersford Borough Council President Anil Dham, more than $1.5 million has been received for the project, which will connect walkers, bikers and runners to the Schuylkill River Trail and downtown Royersford. Work is expected to begin next year. Read more.
