NC State Wins Fourth Annual Pantry Bowl
 
The NC State community raised over $94,000 through 1,520 gifts for the Feed the Pack Food Pantry, nearly doubling the gift total raised for UNC’s Carolina Cupboard and giving the Wolfpack a third straight Pantry Bowl victory.

News You Can Use

  • The university is closed Dec. 24-Jan. 1 and DASA wishes you all a peaceful and joyous holiday season.
  • NC State staff and faculty can nominate eligible colleagues for the 2025 Awards for Excellence. The deadline to submit nominations is Feb. 5, 2025. Please visit the Awards for Excellence webpage to complete the nomination form.
  • Faculty and staff can still use unused community service time through the end of the year, including extra time granted for Hurricane Helene relief.
  • Know a student involved in at least one DASA program who you think deserves a spotlight? Nominate them to be a future Howling Success!
  • The Honors Program’s community-based research lab presented students with an opportunity to give back to the local community.


Reminders

  • This year’s De-Stress Fest, presented by NC State Wellness and Recreation, features a variety of events for students, faculty and staff to de-stress and recharge during exam season. These events are hosted by several campus partners, including Campus Health, the Counseling Center, African American Cultural Center, Pride Center, Women’s Center and more.
  • The NC State Libraries’ sensory-friendly maps offer a variety of spaces to study, take a break or get work done.
  • The 2025 edition of Make-A-Thon, NC State’s annual sustainability innovation challenge for students, will be held Jan. 23-26, and judges and mentors are needed. By investing as little as two hours at Make-A-Thon, you can help create a powerful learning experience for NC State students.
  • The annual Wolfpack Winter Clothing Drive is accepting donations for students and staff in need at various drop-off locations around campus through Jan. 27, 2025.
  • The NC State Office of Undergraduate Courses, Curricula and Academic Standards will hold office hours every Friday for the rest of the school year at 10 a.m.
