Phase 2 of the Ranch House renovation is underway, however all Ranch House amenities remain available during construction.

The Ranch House main entrance has not changed, please continue to enter through the Mail Room. When you enter, a temporary barrier now directs members to the left, where the interim front desk has been set up. Snacks and beverages remain available for purchase, and complimentary coffee and tea service continues uninterrupted in the Great Room.

The main locker rooms and restrooms are now closed. Members should use the East Wing family changing rooms and restrooms, towels are also available here. All pools remain open, including the lap lanes. We plan to keep the recreation pool open as long as weather permits, typically through the end of September.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility as construction continues.

A kind reminder that the construction dumpster is an open dumpster for construction use only. Please do not dispose of food or personal trash in it.

It’s that time of year again! The Ranch House fall leaf dumpster will be available soon for community use. As always, we’re keeping an eye on the changing seasons to help determine the best timing for installation. We are coordinating with the Ranch House renovation project to ensure smooth parking and construction logistics. We’ll share details as soon as the dates are set.

The Rec Pool will remain open as weather permits. We’ll continue to share updates throughout September as temperatures cool and the leaves begin to fall. With our summer staff now gone, please help us keep the pool area tidy by using only the towels you need, placing used towels in the hampers as you leave and cleaning up after yourselves.

Homeowners may install deer fencing starting October first. 

Deer season is upon us! To help protect your landscaping, trees, shrubs, and flowers, homeowners may begin installing deer fencing starting Thursday, Oct. 1. This is a two-week head start from the typical October 15 date outlined in the Fourth Amendment.

When stopping by to check your mailbox, be sure to take a quick peek in the Misdelivered Mail slot. Occasionally, mail ends up in the wrong box and is placed there for safekeeping. You may just find something addressed to you!

If you receive mail that belongs to another resident, please place it in the Misdelivered Mail slot so it can be easily found.

The Misdelivered Mail slot is located on the right as you enter the mailroom.

We continue to receive reports of bear activity throughout the neighborhood, including during daylight hours. One RVR homeowner recently captured a photo of a young bear in her yard around 4 p.m., where it found and raided a bird feeder that had been left out during the day.

This is an important reminder that bear attractants are not just an overnight concern. Trash, bird feeders, pet food, barbeque grills, fruit and compost can all draw bears into residential areas. Please help keep bears wild by removing or securing attractants around your home, even during the daytime.

Trash Reminder: Trash pickup is every Tuesday except on holidays. Cans must remain inside until 6 a.m. on trash day and be brought back in by 8 p.m. that evening.

RVR community members serving as Wildfire Ambassadors with the Wildfire Collaborative of the Roaring Fork Valley are launching a neighborhood initiative sharing practical ways to better protect our homes, and one another, from wildfire.

The initiative highlights simple, effective steps such as clearing combustible materials from the first five feet around your home, screening vents, signing up for a free home risk assessment, registering for emergency alerts, and preparing a go bag. Funding assistance of up to $1,500 may also be available for eligible wildfire-mitigation projects.

They are looking for volunteers to help share this important information throughout RVR. If you’d like to lend a hand, please take a moment to fill out a simple contact form by clicking here.
