Other ways to support LVCA this season
  • Our wish list: from dry-erase markers to tissues, it takes a lot of stuff to keep our office going. Copy paper, stamps, and paper towels are always in need. 
  • The Joy of Writing 2022: This year's book is available through Amazon. Share The Joy of Writing with family and friends by introducing them to stories from our students. 
  • Recipes from Our Homes Cookbook: Are you looking for a unique gift for the foodie on your holiday shopping list? Stop by the office to pick up a collection of recipes by students, tutors, and friends of LVCA. Cookbooks are $10 each. 
Citizenship Classes
Please help spread the word about upcoming winter citizenship classes. The next session starts the week of January 9. All classes this winter are on Zoom. Learners can join the classes using a phone, iPad, or computer. They can also use a computer in our office to attend. Wordplay: Team Recruitment Underway
Team registration is now open for Wordplay 2023
Wordplay is a team-based trivia competition for people who love words, vocabulary, pop culture, history, literature, and showing off their smarts. Each team is comprised of three members. The audience is invited to play along and cheer for their favorite team!  
Team sponsorship rates start at $600. Teams can pay online, send a check, or use crowdsourcing to raise their fees. Sponsors can also donate in-kind goods of the same value in place of their team fee. We are limiting Wordplay 2023 participation to 40 teams. Be sure to save your spot early!
