Dear Faculty, Administrators and Staff,
As we enter the second week of the semester, I hope you enjoyed a restful Labor Day weekend. The holiday offers us an important opportunity to reflect on the dignity of work and to recognize the many contributions that make our University thrive. In the spirit of Seton Hall’s Catholic mission, Labor Day also reminds us of the value of service, community and the call to use our gifts in ways that uplift others. I am deeply grateful for the faculty, staff and administrators whose dedication ensures that our students are supported, challenged and inspired every day.
That same spirit is reflected in our commitment to innovation, which reminds us that creative ideas can enrich teaching, research and service in ways that move Seton Hall forward. This commitment is reflected in the opportunities we offer that support collaboration and discovery, such as the Academies and Idea Hall initiatives. These programs provide seed funding for faculty and staff to develop projects that advance teaching, research and engagement with our mission. Consider applying, applications for the year are due on Wednesday, September 10.
In the days ahead, I encourage you to join our campus events and invite students to do the same. Such opportunities enrich our community and strengthen the bonds that define our shared mission.
With appreciation for all you do, I wish you a productive and fulfilling week.
