Northeast
This coming weekend, Northeast Indiana Public Radio's WBOI (89.1fm, Fort Wayne) will introduce four new programs to their weekend schedule.
Northcentral
After only a few months in the News Director chair, Jessica Laszewski exits that role at Gray Television's NBC affiliate/WNDU-TV (Channel 16, South Bend). Ms. Laszewski will move back to Wisconsin and become the News Director for Gray's WMTV-TV in Madison, Wisconsin.
Northwest
While you might associate John Records Landecker with Chicago radio, he's lived in northwest Indiana. Mr. Landecker has also been a broadcaster at both Gerard Media's WIMS (1420am, Michigan City) and Michigan City FM Broadcasters' WEFM (95.9fm, Michigan City). Last Friday, Indiana honored him with the Sagamore of the Wabash. In November, Mr. Landecker will be inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame at the Museum of Broadcast Communications in Chicago. Here's more from The Michigan City News-Dispatch.
After the FCC denied an Indiana Community Radio Corp. application for WCNB (91.5fm, Dayton), WCNB files a new application with the FCC. This application proposes a new tower site near IN-28, southeast of Lafayette. There, WCNB will broadcast with 2,500 watts from an antenna height of 140 feet.
Central
Today, Nexstar's CW affiliate/WISH-TV (Channel 8, Indianapolis) will partially change up their local news schedule:
4am until 10am: "Daybreak"
10am until 11am: "Indy Style"
11am until Noon: "The Midday News" (from Noon)
Noon until 1pm: Rachel Ray (from 10am)
