Welcome      Grow       Serve      Celebrate

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the 40 day season of Lent when we clean our hearts and repent of our sin so that we may prepare for an experience of resurrection when the Easter season arrives. See you tonight at 6:00 pm for our service of song, scripture, prayer, and ashes. We will begin with a gathering time of worship, then you will have a chance to go at your own pace through some stations to help you think through this holy day. In light of Ash Wednesday also falling on Valentine's Day, one of those stations will be a way for you to share love with others, but you will have to show up to see how!  A nursery will be provided for our littlest disciples.

As Lent begins, we also move into a new worship series. Following our yearlong emphasis on the wisdom of scripture, we will use Lent to focus on Jesus' message to us found in the Sermon on the Mount. We look forward to making this Lenten journey together, and we hope worship will be part of how you mark this sacred time.

Serve our city's youth at The Connection!

Volunteers regularly meet at PHUMC at 7am on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month to drive down (this month only they’re covering the 1st and 2nd Wednesdays). If you’re interested in learning more or helping out with this important ministry, talk to Juliet or any of our staff members.
