CONGRATULATIONS, JAIDEN HUGHES!
Congratulations to Brebeuf Jesuit senior Jaiden Hughes, who was selected by the 100 Black Men of Indianapolis, Inc. as one of the outstanding young men to participate in the 36th Annual Beautillion Militaire.
"To be a part of the Beautillion means that I am a young African American in Indiana who is looking to grow as an individual and learn how to succeed as a black man in America," Jaiden shared.
The Beautillion recognizes the achievements of African American males in Indianapolis area high schools. All young men attend weekly educational workshops prior to the final event in April. Sessions cover topics from personal responsibility, finance, cultural issues, and respect for others to community service, health issues communication, and college expectations.
In addition to being a licensed pilot, Jaiden is part of the football team, track and field team, and Black Student Union, among several other extracurriculars. He is also very involved in his community through volunteering and service. He plans to attend either Indiana University's Kelley School of Business or Purdue University's Krannert School of Management to major in finance.
Congratulations on this tremendous honor, Jaiden!
