Lieutenant Governor Meets with UNO Leaders on HRT Initiative |
Thank you to Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser for spending time with UNO President Kathy Johnson plus Assistant Dean Aundrea Kloor and HRT Chair Dr. Yvette Green from the Henry Bernstein College of Business Administration. During the meeting, the group discussed possible partnerships with our Kabacoff School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Administration, which graduates many of the state's hospitality leaders. We look forward to working with the Lt. Governor and the state more closely!

College Tutoring Center Now Open |
The spring semester saw the launch of the Henry Bernstein College of Business Administration Tutoring Center. Tutoring is provided for our quantitative methods courses. This lab is currently being supported with funding from the Higher Education Workforce Initiative. Contact cobaba@uno.edu for more information about tutoring or stop by the tutoring center.

On March 12, Waffle House Recruiter and UNO alumna Jessica Herring '14 spoke to dozens of students interested in management and hospitality in restaurants about disaster management, community outreach and more.

On March 19, Canal Barge visited, and Blake Hefflin, director of Deck Cargo Services, spoke to students about marine transportation shipments, terminal services to provide safe and secure cargo storage and management services with experienced crews.

HBCOBA at Get to Know UNO |
Several hundred prospective students toured campus at the Get to Know UNO event on March 2, where they were able to learn about majors and ask questions about specific programs and courses. It was great to visit with future Privateers!

Debating and resolution-writing sessions will culminate in a final meeting in the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations headquarters.
