The Data, AI, and Computing Initiative outlines a multi-year, campus-wide effort to position the University as a trusted leader in emerging technologies. The initiative brings together several existing University strengths under a unified institutional structure. 

Each awardee at Notre Dame received more than half a million dollars in funding to support their research. Read about the awardees along with brief descriptions from their abstracts here.

Gilberto Cárdenas, professor emeritus of sociology and founding director of the Institute for Latino Studies, died Sunday, July 26. For 13 years, Cárdenas led the institute and established many of the hallmark programs and initiatives that remain today.
