Fiscal Year '23 Contribution Rates

ATTENTION: PAYROLL MANAGER / HR MANAGER

Contribution rates for the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) employers and employees for FY '23 (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023) are shown below. These rates are effective for pay periods ending July 1, 2022 and after.

All payroll reporting, balance of contract reporting and reporting adjustments for FY '21-22 should be reported to the ASRS no later than July 14, 2022.

Receipt of all contributions and adjustments by the July 14th deadline will prevent late-charge assessments, ensure a timely posting of fiscal year contributions to member accounts and facilitate our year-end closing. The ASRS greatly appreciates your cooperation.

For purposes of reporting ASRS contributions, do not split a pay period that begins in June and ends in July.

PLEASE NOTE: Performance pay and bonus plan payments paid to employees after termination (frequently funded under Prop 301 funding for schools) are considered compensation and must include deductions for ASRS purposes. If contributions for performance pay awards are received along with the supporting employee detail on or before July 14th, the contributions will be considered timely and the contribution rate will be the rate in place when the monies were earned. If the employee data is received after July 14th, the contribution rate will be the rate in effect in the new fiscal year. Moreover, if the funds are not received by July 14th, the contribution rate will be the new-year rate and interest will be due from July 14th until received.
