Join us on Monday, Sept. 26, at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory for a special event celebrating DART, NASA’s first planetary defense test mission. Our South Campus Green will provide a relaxing environment for watching a live broadcast of DART approaching and impacting the asteroid moonlet Dimorphos.
Guests will also have the opportunity to meet with the DART team and key partners while enjoying refreshments and an expo featuring Johns Hopkins APL research in areas ranging from space exploration and national defense to artificial intelligence and climate change.
Doors open for check-in at 4:30 p.m. EDT, followed by a pre-broadcast event emceed by former NASA astronaut Leland Melvin and featuring remarks from other special guests.
We hope to see you on this special evening! Until then, join other Planetary Defenders in the countdown to DART’s historic impact.
