Recently, as I was running an errand and enjoying just being able to drive someplace in my car, I happened upon an old song by the Doors, Strange Days. The song begins with a lamentation, “Strange Days have found us. Strange Days have tracked us down. They’re going to destroy our casual joys. We shall go on playing or find a new town.” Though released in 1967, the words struck me as being especially relevant to our current circumstances. We are indeed living in Strange Days!
CASL faculty, students and alumni are involved in a variety of classes, research, activities and philanthropy, and are making an impact locally, regionally and nationally.
During this time of uncertainty and transition, your gifts to the CASL Annual Fund will continue to support CASL student success. In fact, your investment in CASL students is more important than ever.
For example, your gifts will make it possible for CASL studentsto participate in internships and undergraduate research. These experiences will be delivered virtually and remotely until it is safe for students to return to campus or internship sites, and will also prepare students to learn and work in whatever ways the future requires. Thank you for being an everyday hero for CASL students!
This past year has been challenging for all of us, especially our most vulnerable students.
If you can help those most affected, please visit the Immediate Relief Fund. This fund has been created to ensure that COVID-19 does not stand in the way of our students from obtaining a UM-Dearborn degree.
