| Bond Projects Update: Splash Pad Now Open at Community Center!Come check out the new splash pad at the Community Center! This new aquatics feature can be used by all ages and is a great addition to the recreational amenities on Ken-Caryl Ranch. The splash pad will be open during regular pool hours.

| Trash and Recycling Service Delay Week of Fourth of July
This is a reminder from the Ken-Caryl Ranch trash service provider, Waste Connections, that Fourth of July is an observed holiday. Trash and recycling for all customers will be delayed one day the week of Fourth of July.

| Free Hike: Birding with MikeJoin volunteer naturalist Mike Foster and Environmental Education Recreation Supervisor Gabrielle Chisholm for a birding hike on Coyote Song Trail. Please wear proper shoes and bring water, sunscreen, a snack and binoculars if you have them.

West Metro Training in KC Open Space July 10 and 13West Metro Fire District will be conducting high-angle rope rescue training in Ken-Caryl Ranch Open Space on July 10 and 13. The location of the training is the west face of the Lyons hogback along the west side of the Lark Bunting Trail loop. West Metro has used this site for the same type of training for many years. The skills the West Metro staff learn and maintain in these trainings have been used to rescue hikers and open space visitors who have been stranded on the rocks in Massey Draw Canyon and the rocks at Bradford Park.

| Music a la Mode Event July 13Come enjoy live music by the Jim Hyatt Band, face painting, balloons, a bounce house and free ice cream at Music a la Mode on Wednesday, July 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ranch House Pool. Archie’s Dog House will sell hotdogs and burgers. This free event is presented by the Scientific Cultural & Facilities District and the Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District.

| Volunteers Needed for Saddlewood Park Community Playground Build July 16Saddlewood Park, which is located at the corner of Vail Pass and Rabbit Ears Pass, is getting a new playground, and we need YOUR help to build it! We are seeking 10-15 volunteers to work alongside the Parks staff on Saturday, July 16 to install the new playground. Click on the button below for more information.

| July 17 Flick & Float Moved to Ranch House Pool
Grab your noodle and come out for an evening swim and a fun, family flick! Concessions will be sold, and there will be FREE popcorn! For safety reasons, please note that rafts and innertubes are not allowed, but noodles are fine to use in the pool. The event is sponsored by the Ken-Caryl Ranch Foundation and Colorado Credit Union.
