The board of the Nashville Academy of Medicine wishes all of our members and partners a happy holiday season!  We hope to see you at one of our events in 2023!

TN-PSQ is a tool that can help combat burnout this holiday season.

The holidays are all about joy and gratitude, but they can be a tough time for individuals struggling with burnout, depression, or other challenges. We are pleased to let you know about a unique online resource that is available to physicians and other licensed health professionals across Tennessee. NAM is dedicated to supporting the mental health of its members. The Tennessee Professional Screening Questionnaire, or TN-PSQ, is a free service being offered to our members that allows you to anonymously:
  • Take a brief questionnaire for stress, depression, and other mental health conditions
  • Receive a personal response from a site counselor
  • Exchange messages with the counselor, ask questions, receive recommendations and support for connecting with available mental health services.
Completing the online questionnaire and making use of this service is completely voluntary. Your identity will not be known to NAM, and it will not be known to the TN-PSQ counselor unless you decide to share it.

The accredited course provides a comprehensive review of new definitions, state laws, and regulatory changes affecting pain management.

The program has been updated to reflect 2022 changes including a new requirement for Naloxone for opioid prescriptions and new requirements for buprenorphine prescribing. The course features NAM member, Michael Baron, MD, MPH, DFASAM, medical director for the Tennessee Medical Foundation.
