Welcome New Real Estate Brokerage

Ambassadors visited with EXP Realty; 122 S Oak Ave, in Owatonna, to welcome them as a new member. Jason Young is the local agent. EXP Realty is one of the world’s fastest- growing real estate brokerages. They are a global online brokerage that’s powered by top agents and cutting-edge technology.

New Member ...New Location

Ambassadors visited new member business Limberg Productions to welcome them and attend their ribbon cutting at their new location; 103 W. Rose St. in Owatonna. Scott Limberg is the owner. Limberg Productions is a video production company that creates high quality videos for businesses and residential clients to help them tell their story. They use the latest technology to customize each video for every customer.

Boeke Named to Owatonna City Council

Congratulations to Dan Boeke who was appointed this week to the City Council. Boeke will fill the spot left open after Jeff Okerberg recently passed away. The seat will be up for election in 2022.

Funding for Workforce Center Looks Strong

The Minnesota House and Senate have both passed the Jobs Bill which contains $275,000 for the next two years to reopen the workforce center in Owatonna. Now the bill awaits the Governor's signature-which is expected. Owatonna is the only city over 20,000 in population currently without a workforce center.

Special thank you to Rep. John Petersburg who was one of two republicans in the house to support the bill and Senator John Jasinski who guided this project in the bill!

Once the bill is signed into law, plans will start on location and services of the new center.

Weather is predicted for sunny & 82 degrees for the second Downtown Thursday on July 1st!

Performances by Todd Utpadel (5pm) and Old Country Boys (7pm), there will be much to do in the downtown area.

-Construction has begun and street pavement removals have taken place and work on the sanitary sewer has started

-The Pearl Street intersection is planned to remain open for the next couple of weeks

-Work on the 200-block is anticipated to begin in late July

Owatonna Job Fair Promises Big Marketing Push

The Chamber is partnering with KOWZ to provide a job fair for businesses and the community. With a big regional PR push, we are optimistic for a good turn out of job seekers.

The Owatonna Job Fair will be on Saturday, August 7th from 9 am - 1 pm at the Four Seasons Center for full time & part time positions.
