We wanted to pause for a moment to say hello in this month's newsletter.  It is a busy and exciting time at Yellow Ribbon, always with the hope of what's around the next corner for us and suicide prevention.  

We're so excited for all that is planned for Yellow Ribbon week next month.  From the Walks/Runs, Car Shows, Awareness Events and more.  Please let us know what you're doing so we can share with the YR Family.  You never know who may be looking for something to get involved with in your community.  

We may be a bit bias but we really love that this year we have a theme for YR Week - "Be A _____!" is bound to help bring awareness.  Don't forget to check out the great resources & t-shirts for this year.  

We've made major improvements on the web & social media front, and want to thank Chris Hansen for his tireless work and taking the helm of website, social media and lead on the newsletter.  Chris is working diligently to get a larger presence in the digital world.

Conversations are currently happening and planning beginning on the next Yellow Ribbon Conference.  We will have a "save-the-date" to you in the next newsletter.

Whether it's for YR Week or just events and stories throughout the year - please remember to share with us - we want to pass on what's happening around the globe.  Keep up the great work, remember together we are making a difference!

Those using the YR Program & Cards in the capacity of a Chapter, Program Site, Club, or Trainer are required to hold an annual Operational Membership from YRI.  With benefits like discounts, art/graphic support (i.e. YR Week '17 Kit), Chapter Council, and more.  Additionally the Membership gives you the Legal Rights/Permissions to use the YR Program & Materials.  

Our staff is working to bring each of our Operational Membership holders up-to-date.  If you'd like to get a jump on this please feel free to email Chris to talk more about this -or- go HERE to renew online.  

The Foster CARE Closet of Nebraska (FCC) partnered with Yellow Ribbon this month to begin making Ask-4-Help!® Cards available to the foster youth they serve across the state of Nebraska!  

The Foster CARE Closet provides brand new clothes to every youth entering into the system.  The importance of getting a YR Card into the hands of these youth at such a critical time of transition will be life-saving for many.  At YRI we're excited that the team at FCC sees the value in adding one more protective factor to those they're serving.
