A Bed for Every Child
Click this link to listen to our Mission Moment from last Sunday's service as Bill Flynn shares about the restart of our bunk bed ministry and how you can help provide bunk beds for families in need. Over the past nine years, we have built and delivered 500 beds. In addition to giving your time and labor for construction, we also encourage you as individuals, families, and groups to financially sponsor the making of a bed. Funds for wood, paint, and other building materials, as well as mattresses and bed linens are needed.
Our volunteers meet in the basement to work on Wednesday nights after dinner. It takes around 10-15 people each week to keep us moving, and we would love for you to join us. We also need individuals willing to be part of the delivery/setup team. Reach out to Ken Allen with any questions or to volunteer:kenallen59@gmail.com.
We're all in this ministry together. Our children write encouraging notes on the bed slats, which can be read by someone in the bed. Our youth help with construction
Do you know how to make up a bed? We need help with both setting up the beds at delivery and making the beds with the linens.
Wednesday Night Re:Treat Tonight!
A few reminders as we gather: We want everyone to continue to stay safe and keep the germ spread to a minimum. We will have servers prepare plates for our children and adults, and we ask that you sanitize your hands as you enter and as you leave. To-go plates will be made at 6:30 after everyone has been served.
We hope this is a time of fellowship and hospitality for all so look around for new faces, learn a name, and lend a hand to one another. We will require an RSVP by the Sunday before so that we may be good stewards of our resources. You may RSVP via the bulletin on Sunday, by calling the church office, or via the newsletter each week (remember the newsletter RSVP will be a week ahead, not the day of).
