Ask a librarian 24/7 for research help via chat |
Did you know you can get personalized, on-demand and one-on-one research assistance via chat from a real human who is a credentialed librarian? The Ask a Librarian service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from the comfort of your own office (or home, coffee shop, or park bench). Chat is offered by Radford University librarians on weekdays, and at other times, including nights and weekends, via a librarian from our co-op online. If it’s a Radford-specific question that our co-op librarians can’t help with, they’ll ask for your contact information so that we can get in touch with you the following day.
| |
Click the “Ask a Librarian” button anywhere on the University Libraries’ website, and you'll get the support you need right away. Please encourage your students to try out the service, too.
Some recent reviews of the Ask a Librarian chat service:
- “First time using this service and it was great! Thank you!”
- “Fantastic feedback and help!!! Very fast.”

- “Fast, knowledgeable and super supportive help as always!”

You can also find research help in person at McConnell Library in Radford on the main campus or at the Radford University Carilion Library in Roanoke. Set up a consultation via Zoom or email, or through the FAQs and LibGuides (Research Skills and Subject Guides). All of these options can be found on the University Libraries research webpage.
Help can include finding access to a paywalled article, developing a research topic, evaluating sources, finding an open-access textbook or journal and much more.

To streamline our processes in Radford University’s Office of Accounting Services, notifications regarding SPCC reconciliation issues will now be communicated to cardholders and their supervisors on the Kuali SPCC Action Request/Information Form. This process will allow the Accounting Services team to collect reportable data, automate workflows for tasks and notifications and make it easier to manage, track and update requests.
A short video on this process for the SPCC cardholder and their supervisor can be found on the Training Catalog for the Controller’s Office in D2L through OneCampus.
