IAC Communications Offers Media Training, Free Professional Photographs |
Ivan Allen College Communications has two great upcoming opportunities for faculty interested in media training or a new portrait photo.
Introductory media training is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. to noon in Savant Conference Room 115. Space is limited and registration is required.
We also are offering faculty free environmental photos suitable for external promotions, social media, or book jackets. We have two sessions: Thursday, Sept. 21, from 1 – 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 26, from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. Register today!

Diversity and Inclusion Workshops for Faculty and Staff |
To better align with Georgia Tech's Strategic Plan for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, IDEI will be offering a variety of workshops throughout the year that all staff and faculty can attend on a voluntary basis. Workshops will focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion topics such as implicit bias and intergroup dialogue techniques, among others. All workshops require registration.

An article co-authored by Hyoun-A Joo, assistant professor of German in the School of Modern Languages, entitled "Tesla in Grünheide: Growing Intercultural Competence Through Role-Play Simulation," was chosen for the best article award by the journal Die Unterrichtspraxis/Teaching German. The award will be presented at an online ceremony on Nov. 12.

Sanghyun Han, a Ph.D. student in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, wrote an article titled, “ROK-US AI Cooperation Needs Real Reciprocity” for The National Interest. The article discusses the challenges inherent in reaching a mutually satisfactory agreement between the two nations due to power imbalances and other issues.
