MANY THANKS OLV
Many, many thanks for all of the generous donations of canned goods and dry goods for S.O.M.E. (So Others Might Eat) - much appreciated.
OLV FINANCIAL REPORT
Archdiocese of Washington Schools are required to share with families in a communication regarding the financial position of the school. The report shows the income/expense for the prior fiscal year and the current year budgeted financial status. At OLV, this is usually shared as part of the overall Parish Annual Report: please find the school finance report attached here.
Questions? Please contact Mrs. Martinez directly.
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

OLV GALA & AUCTION

A big thanks to all the OLV parents who contributed their time and talent to make the Gala a success!  A very special thank you goes out to our Gala co-chairs Philippa Bender and Donna Synder for all their hard work and efforts in making the Gala a wonderful night for all.  Many thanks to Katie Sague and Shelly O'Brien for all their work behind the scenes to make the event a success.  Thanks, too, to all who donated goods/certificates, and thanks to our sponsors!

UPDATE TO DC HEALTH & TRAVEL
As you may know, DC has updated the requirements related to travel. Please read the update here:

https://mayor.dc.gov/sites/default/files/dc/sites/mayormb/release_content/attachments/MO-2020-110.pdf

OLV family members who travel to 'hot spots' or have visitors from 'hot spots' may submit to OLV negative PCR COVID test results as an alternative to the 14 day quarantine requirement.

At OLV, we continue to experience situations where a member of the OLV community has traveled or been in close contact  (within 6ft without a mask) with an individual at an event/gathering who subsequently tested positive for COVID-19. I am very grateful to families and staff for their self-reporting and cooperation with quarantine/testing requirements.

With Thanksgiving approaching, OLV encourages families to follow the CDC guidelines for Thanksgiving celebrations available here:

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/holidays.html

Thank you to all families making the sacrifice not to travel and to celebrate Thanksgiving with just their immediate household.

Please remember to practice safety measures at all times, especially with friends, extended family and loved ones.

Maintain 6 feet or more social distance at all times (ideally outside or in a well-ventilated space)

Wear a face mask at all times (except when eating/drinking - ideally outside or in a well-ventilated space)

Wash your hands frequently or use hand sanitizer.

These basic safety measures can have an impact on all of us, and will ultimately help reduce the spread of COVID-19 at OLV.

If a family member has been in a situation where the above-mentioned safety measures have been inconsistent or not completely maintained, PLEASE keep your child at home until the results of a negative PCR test have been obtained or your child has quarantined for 14 days.

We all agree that in-person instruction is best for students. Our ability to continue to keep our campus open requires each family to make the health and safety of the OLV community a priority.
