What a Great First Sunday!

Thank you, Parkway Hills, for welcoming my family and me in such a warm, loving way.  Thank you for your generous gift that will allow us to furnish our new home.  I give thanks for the all the ways God’s Spirit is already moving in this place and I am excited to begin this new chapter within the life of this young church.  There is so much energy and possibility here.  What a gift to be given the chance to pastor a church such as this!

Welcome to our Newest Member!
What a joy to introduce James Jennings, son of Kevin and Jayme McDonald. The proud grandparents are Jim and Cathy Robertson. Jennings was born last Friday, June 30th. (Fun fact: Jayme and Kevin were the first couple married during Bruce Case's tenure, and now Jennings is the first child born during Dawn's!)  Click here to send this sweet family a note of congratulations, an offer of help, or to schedule taking them a meal as they adjust to being a family of three!

Men: Be sure to RSVP with Brandon Jones by this Sunday, July 9th for the Men's Ministry Road Trip to New Orleans: Saturday, July 22nd!  We will leave from the church parking lot, have lunch at Middendorf's, then spend the whole afternoon at the World War II Museum. Bring money for lunch and dinner, as well as admission to the museum: $26 for adults, $22.50 for seniors, $16.50 for K-12.

Yarn Ministry Meeting Saturday

Join this low-key but hard-working group of "yarners" this Saturday, July 8th from 9:00 am until noon.  We knit and crochet warm hugs for our fellow church members who are celebrating a birth, grieving a loss, battling an illness, or just need some encouragement!  And, if you don't knit or crochet yet... we LOVE to teach!  We meet at Ann Weissenborn's, (directions here), and we'd be thrilled to have you!
Not quite sure if this is our newest member greeting our pastor, or if our new pastor is welcoming our new member... either way, both were blessed by the meeting!

We are so grateful that Sunday morning brought the safe return of our 24-member mission team!
They are now working on downloading their photographs and compiling their videos. We will schedule a time soon for them to share stories from their adventure in mission.
