This fall (though it feels more like winter lately!) is all about reflection and possibility. We're reflecting on the incredible work of our students over the summer, built on the foundation of our 12-year history. We're doing the exciting and challenging work of re-imagining our model, building on our strengths, and aiming to create more meaningful experiential learning opportunities for more Champlain students. I invite you to explore the diverse student, faculty, and staff work highlighted in this newsletter and also look to the future with us. Keep in touch and please continue sharing this newsletter with your friends and colleagues!

Silent Connection, an interactive 360 film examining the world of a young person experiencing hearing loss, was designed to explore VR as a tool for evoking empathy. Over the summer, a team of students and faculty member Julia Swift conceptualized and created this project and debuted it during this year's Art Hop.
Fiber Artist in Residence Collaboration: Sophie Zeman-Hale is a fiber artist who attends the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Over the summer, she collaborated on projects, created new pieces, hosted a workshop, and brought a new and exciting presence to the EMC. Read an interview with Sophie.
